North Cornwall District

Scouting for the North of Cornwall

 

This District was formed on 1st September 2009, with the almagamation of Bodmin District and Bude & Launceston District.

 

The District Badge shows the positioning of the District on a map of the County. The emblems represent the Crown of King Arthur who by legend ruled from his Castle in North Cornwall, and his sword Excalibar, which was thrown into in Dozmary Pool on Bodmin Moor by Sir Bedivere, both locations of which are situated in the District boundary.

Bude & Launceston District came about by the Amalgamation of two Districts; Bude & Stratton District &

Launceston District

The Mountainboarding Centre at Ivyleaf opened in 2004. We have top instructors on a top course catering for all abilities in the sport.We offer Tuition, Free ride sessions and Instructor Training. Discounted group prices start at £13 per person for a 2 hour session (lesson and free ride). Large camping field also available.
