The Trust for Scouting in Cornwall, is a supportive, fundraising part of Cornwall County Scout Council.   It's aim is to support individuals and local projects, where finance would have otherwise been an issue.

The Trust for Scouting in Cornwall is an independent part of Cornwall County Scouts. Its aim is to support financially individuals and groups to enable them to achieve their objectives.

We have two Dead Lines for submission of requests 1st March & 1st October each year.

 

We also advise on other sources of funding - Click Here

 

The Scout Association gives access to many other sources of funding go to www.scoutbase.org.uk then search under the following headings “Fundraising in Scouting” “Start up grants” “Special needs grants” “Expedition grants” “Hardship grants” etc.

 

 

Youth Expedition Opportunities;- Explorer Belt, D of E Gold Expedition,  Sail Training (there is a special fund) inc. Hardiesse, Raleigh International, World Challenge, British Schools Exploring Society. This is by no means an exhaustive list.

 

For non Scout Expeditions a clear derived benefit to Scouting must be demonstrated

5th Redruth for the Group visit to Brownsea, Bude towards the Explorer Unit visit to Kandersteg. Pendynas Scout Network for Unit Flag.New Cub Section - start up grant. Two individual hardship Grants.

Camp Fire Songbook

The draft copy has now been approved by the Trustees. A first print run is being actioned. 3 copies to go to each Group foc together with an order form for additional copies which will be charged at £2.00 each.)

 

Charity Concert

 

On 18th November 2007, the Trust for Scouting Cornwall held a concert at all Saints Church, Falmouth,  with Nankersey Male Voice Choir. 2nd Falmouth Beavers Cubs and Scouts sang some campfire songs, they were supported by the District Explorer Unit. The evening was a great success, as these images by Colin Wellington     shows. Other images are on the Falmouth District Page.
