Update 27/12/07
We visited this campsite in October with our Explorer Scout. The campsite consist of 17 acres of woodland and camping area.It has both male and female toilets complete with hot showers.Fresh water taps are availibe on site.It also has a large firebowl for open an open fire situated in a gravelled area. In the centre of the site there is a large open fronted building complete with washbasin, fridge, micowave electric kettle and tables/chairs . It also has an area in the woods for making bivi's and carrying out bushcraft The views from the site are stunning and the beach is only about 20-25 mins walk.Somerfields or the CO-OP in Torpoint will deliver to site if food is ordered in advance. We found the owner Gren Marner pleasent and helpfull in every respect and is passionated about getting young people out into the country and will help to put a days activity package together for younger people like Beavers and cubs. This campsite is not generally open to the general holidaying public but used mainly by local schools during the day, people doing the D.o.E and similar groups My Explorer scouts thought it was an excellant campsite and are already begging me to take them back there.
