St George's Day 2010

Everyone knows St George is the Patron Saint of England, but hes also the Patron Saint of Scouting.  To this end, every year,  Scouts celebrate on St George's Day.

In Falmouth, each group takes a turn to host the Parade, and as part of our 60th Anniversary celebrations, we volunteered to organise this year's event.

So, a parade through the town, a tiny horse and a terrifying dragon all came together to create an evening to be remembered.

We were joined by the Devon and Cornwall Pipes and Drum Band, they also spent the day raising money for "Help For Heroes" along with some veterans from the Parchute Regiment Association.
